For Tresena, being a Champion for Children is more than just a campaign—it’s personal. She knows firsthand the challenges that come with being a teen mother, the uncertainty, the sacrifices, and the resilience it takes to build a future for yourself and your child. At just 17, Tresena gave birth to her daughter and faced the overwhelming responsibility of navigating young motherhood while trying to build a life of stability and success.

With the support of those who believed in her, Tresena forged her own path, and today, she is the proud owner of Brown Butter Shoppe in Downtown Brunswick and the mother of a thriving, soon-to-be graduate. But she also knows that not every young mother has a support system to lean on, and that’s why she is dedicating her Champions for Children campaign to The Village—Safe Harbor’s newest program, a Maternity Group Home designed to provide young mothers with the stability, resources, and encouragement they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
