Champions for Children: Lexie Love Whatley

Lexie is a proud St. Simons Island native and has been a supporter of Safe Harbor since its inception. Her father, professional golfer Davis Love III, has been a major donor and lifeline to Safe Harbor since 1991, helping sustain its mission of providing safety and stability to children in crisis.

After graduating from Glynn Academy, Lexie studied at the University of Alabama before earning her degree from the University of Georgia. She then returned to St. Simons to begin her career with the Davis Love Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the RSM Classic, which raises millions of dollars annually for children and families in need. For the past 15 years, Lexie has played a key role in the foundation’s charitable efforts and currently serves as its Event Director, overseeing initiatives that benefit organizations throughout Coastal Georgia.

As a mother of three, Lexie has a deep passion for helping children and believes every child deserves a safe and loving environment. While she has dedicated much of her career to philanthropy, Safe Harbor holds a special place in her heart as her favorite local charity. She is honored to join this year’s campaign and is committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of the children Safe Harbor serves.
